Texas Vacations With Lots of Places to Roam
Okay now, think of the Lone Star state. Even if
you live in cowboy country, Texas vacations are big. Everything (they say)
is big in Texas anyway.
Thinking of a vacation in Texas? Houston is a huge spread of a city,
Dallas is of TV fame, but regardless of where you roam in the Lone Star
State, don't miss the Houston Rodeo Show.
Oh, the kids will love the animals at the rodeo. I have always been
inspired by the youngsters who enter the animal husbandry competitions.
It's amazing how much money, in scholarships and sponsorships, these young
animal growers get from these competitions. Texas Vacations in Spacious
Hill Country
I lived in Texas for three years - three years of Texas vacations - and
a lot of things stand out there. [Shhh! Don't tell my boss I was on
vacation the whole time!]
You will really love the Hill Country! Just head west until you see the
rolling hills of Austin, San Antonio, Killeen, and Kerrville. Prepare to
be really thrilled. These areas of the American Southwest are not just,
for having what we may call, Texas vacations. Do you ever wonder why this
western part of Texas has so many health and recreation centers? The Hill
Country area of Texas is really a place to relax and unwind. Visit one
of the Attractive and Well-kept Recreation Areas in Texas
With placid lakes and rolling landscape, Texas is prime country for
those romantic getaway vacations. We have had several family and group
camping trips in Texas. The Texas Parks and Wildlife does a great job in
maintaining these recreational areas. Since there are so many great
Texas parks and
outdoor recreation areas, you may need to pick from a long list, based
on what you want to do on your Texas vacation. Take a look at a list of
Texas
parks and campgrounds. Educational Texas Vacations
As a parent of three smart kids, I love to create educational
experiences. Houston, Texas is home of the Johnson Space Center. I have
never seen a child that did not light up on visiting Space Center Houston.
There is the incredible I-Max theatre, hands-on activities and tours that
are thrillers for the whole family. You might even get to take a picture
beside a retired space capsule. Then there are museums in downtown
Houston that are crowd favorites, too. The Holocaust Museum, the Science
museum, and more. The Alamo in San Antonio area. All these are just a
few of the great educational insertions you can make to your Texas
vacation experience.
