Bring Your Low Rider Bicycles & Mountain Bikes on Your Family

Even if you tip the scale on the "heavy" side, low rider bicycles are
great exercise machines. Hitch a couple of low rider bikes or mountain
bikes on your SUV,
truck, minivan, or car when you take your next vacation.
Low riders keep your center of gravity lower and so you have a more
stable ride. Even if you haven't gone on a bike since you were half your
present weight, low rider bicycles are excellent cruising machines.
Mountain bikes and low riders are not necessarily for speed, but more
for exercise...
Riding a bicycle provides good aerobic activity and gives a great workout
to the whole body. But here is why I really like to carry my low rider
bike when going on a family vacation...
Often, we go camping...
There is a lot to see... You have to walk a whole lot. Riding my bike
helps me to combine a good workout and leisurely sightseeing and have a
rewarding vacation.
Tips for Taking Your Low Rider Bicycle on Your Vacation
So you want to carry your low rider bicycle on your vacation?
Congratulations! You are in for lot's of fun. Well, let's talk about how
to avoid spoiling your vacation.
Check your brakes, seat, and tire inflation. How will you carry your
bike(s)? Ensure the rack is installed properly - you do not want your bike
to fall off while you drive. Pack properly to avoid damage. If you travel
over rough terrain to get to your camping or vacation destination, make
sure you secure your bike properly.
Remember to carry spares and tools. In the event of a flat tire when
you are miles away from home, you would love to know you can fix your tire
or change the wheel. You need to be prepared for the eventualities.
Don't
forget the first aid kit. When you are on a family adventure vacation, do
encourage the children to ride safely. Accidents are more likely to occur
over unusual terrain. Have your first aid kit handy.
If your family will be riding in the hot summer sun, remember to wear
protective screens. Also encourage kids to keep their water bottles handy.
If you are not aiming to have healthy family vacations, you are enjoying
temporary fun. Think long term. you need to be there for your family -
make each vacation a healthy exercise. Try biking. I love to use my low
