The Caribbean Resort: A Special Place to Capture Your Elusive Relaxation?
I stayed at a Caribbean resort that boasts about
its "friendliness, responsiveness, and knowledge" of what it's guests
need. The experience was quite unique and seems consistent for both my
winter and summer getaway trips there.
This Caribbean beach resort
in St. John, US Virgin Islands, pampered us with amenities such as
Heavenly Bed®, Heavenly Bath®, a well equipped workout center, and even a Kids Club®. It's
a suitable place for a family vacation.
A place kids love
The Kids Club at this Caribbean resort even have a shop just for
children. It's a novel idea to give the young members of the family
their own unique "shopping" experience. It may be interesting to see how
easy they think of getting little gifts to take back for their friends
back home. But parents beware! It's their shop, but it most likely will
be your wallet.
In spite of the attractive rooms and amenities,
you will really hate when you have to leave the outdoors. During our
stay recently, we were literally "driven" indoors by the weather. The
beach chairs were empty for almost a whole afternoon.
That's one drawback of staying at a Caribbean resort during the
hurricane season. A passing storm drenched the area with heavy rains
during our trip. But this was just a minor un-anticipated event. Why?
For me, even though we had to stay in our comfortable hotel rooms and
watch the rain play on the beach, it was great relaxation. And the empty
chairs waited there for us until the sun returned to dry our seats
again. Can't sit for long
Even though relaxation was one of the things on
my list I had to get on this trip, we need not fool ourselves that this
comes easy on a tropical vacation paradise. Never.
You cannot sit for too long on the beach and watch the clear blue water on an 85°F
day at a Caribbean resort. You are magically pulled offshore by blue,
warm water. It's exhilarating. The Caribbean sea is warm all year round,
how can one resist it?
At this beach resort in the US Virgin Islands, for example, you don't
have to leave the beach all day if you don't want to. Snack bars and
restaurants are right on the beach - you can really spoil yourself.
I have to conclude that it is difficult to really relax on a vacation
when I'm near the beach; especially a Caribbean resort beach paradise.
It's hard. |
