How to Spend Your Bahama Vacations
Your doctor may never prescribe Bahama vacations for you, even though it
may do more than relieving your stressed nerves. But you don't need an
authorization to get the fun and relaxation you deserve. You just do it.
There are several ways to attempt stress relief, but only one way to
experience rejuvenation of Bahama vacations - go there.

Some people try to relax by putting nice
screensavers on their computers. [I confess I like the screensavers with the nature and
tropical beach scenes, and serenity sound effects.
You can hear the ocean.] But there is nothing that can compare to
being there.
Where to go on your Bahamas vacation
There is no shortage of places to go on your
Bahama vacations. It may take you several trips and you may still not
see all there is.
-
Start with the capital; it's most likely
your point of entry, anyway. Tour New Providence, visit the Lyford
Cay and the less populated western section of the island on a tour
bike.
-
Travel by tour bus or take the local jitney
services from Bay Street. Most natives are delighted to show off
their home paradise.
-
Visit paradise Island. Your kids (and you
too!) will be surprised to see that, what was once called "Hog
Island," is now home to the world-renown Atlantis Resort and Casino.
-
Kids especially will have the "time of
their lives" at the seaquarium - home to all types of sea life.
Bring a camera. You actually go under the sea (in a glass cage,
actually.)
-
Visit Freeport on Grand Bahama, Eleuthera,
and other family islands.
-
Play golf, tennis, swim, take a ferry to a
nearby cay, leave your footprints on the sands that pre-date
Columbus.
-
Visit Arawak Cay.
-
See Junkunoo Rush (if you are there during
the Christmas and New Years holiday season.) It's energy, it's
dance, it's art, and it's sport for family "bahama vacation"
entertainment.
A vacation in the Bahamas is a tropical treat.
To visit all the places, islands and cays may be a lifelong adventure.
But it's almost certain that one island will capture your heart. It's
there you will keep returning to year after year. Make sure you don't
miss out on the many other unique adventures that are waiting to happen
to you.
Bahama vacations can be the typical
hotel-on-the-beach adventure or the excursion. It may be just to sample
the cultural happenings and Caribbean
calypso-style musical expressions. There is a lot of ground
and water to cover. For relaxation, it could be on a secluded island -
your very own private island
or a resort hideout.
It could include island tours or the major
islands, such as New Providence, Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, or Andros. All
these may be covered in a week with proper planning.
